Transport Canada Boaters Card Course - Ice Safety Awareness Course
The Ojibwe word "nibiikaa" translates to "there is (a lot of) water," and though we are a non-indigenous company our use of the word "nibiikaa" is a reflection of the First Nation Communities we serve and the water and ice training that we provide.

Our goal is to bring our Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operators Card Course and our Ice Safety Awareness Course to First Nation Communities throughout Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta that will introduce and reinforce best safety practices when travelling on water or travelling on ice.

About Nibiikaa
Pleasure Craft Operators Card Course
One-day Boaters Card Course that includes a PowerPoint presentation and discussion covering onboard equipment requirements, safe boating practices, cold water survival, basic navigation, buoy systems and more. Includes a 50-question multiple choice exam.

Pleasure Craft Operators Card Course
One-day Boaters Card Course that includes a PowerPoint presentation and discussion covering onboard equipment requirements, safe boating practices, cold water survival, basic navigation, buoy systems and more. Includes a 50-question multiple choice exam.
Students are required to score 75% (38/50) to pass and receive their Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operators Certification (Boaters Card).
With a 9:30 AM start and a half-hour lunch, students can expect to finish the course and exam by 5:00 PM.
Ice Safety Awareness Course
One-day course that includes a PowerPoint presentation and discussion covering topics such as Ice Types & Characteristics, Openings In Ice, Personal Safety Equipment, Cold Water Shock and Hypothermia, Self Rescue and Buddy Rescue Techniques, Ice Road Travel and more followed by a short quiz to reinforce learning objectives.
With a 9:30 AM start and a half-hour lunch, students can expect to finish the course and quiz by 3:00 PM.

Course venue with a reasonably dark setting, tables and chairs, a clear white wall or projector screen.
